Job Description:  Seeking a detail-oriented team player for the position of Accounting Assistant with a strong emphasis in Accounts Receivables.  The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Duties:

  •  Handle all aspects of AR (coding invoices, reconciling, weekly check runs, etc)
  • Efficiently and accurately process all vendor invoices on a timely basis
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Assists with the processing of payroll following company policy
  • Maintains all master vendor contracts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of accounts receivable and/or general accounting experience
  • Must be PC proficient with strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to communicate well (both verbally and written) with vendors and co-workers
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, have strong organizational skills and work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to work well independently as well as a part of a small Accounting Department
