Job Description
Principal Duties
- Reviews aged invoice report in order to monitor collections to control accounts receivable.
- Calls customers to follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and initiates collection process in accordance with department procedures.
- Prints out and mails out monthly billing statements in a timely manner.
- Prepares monthly aging reports and sets up meetings with various department managers.
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining contract document files for sales and rentals departments (bonds, insurance certificates, job numbers, payment applications).
- Responsible for coordinating travel reservations and accommodations company-wide.
- Participates in job rotation to help minimize interruption of department services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
- Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
Principal Requirements
- College degree in Business Administration with knowledge of Accounting preferred.
- 3 years accounting experience, preferably in construction industry.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email. Adaptable to in-house software. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- 10 key by touch.
- Ability to perform accounting calculations with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand business documents.
- Valid Hawaii driver’s license and favorable traffic abstract.
- Good organizational administrative skills to multi-task effectively.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective internal and external communications.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
