Full-Time Dispatch Assistant / Office Administrator

Job Description

We require an energetic and motivated team player to join our dispatch team. We are an extremely fast growing local freight company. You must be comfortable working in our busy, fast paced environment.
Duties:

Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service.

Respond to internal email and communicate effectively with a sense of urgency.

Maintain files and organization in the office.

Assist dispatcher with driver communication and paperwork to ensure successful movement of cargo.

Create load manifests, driver manifests and all necessary paperwork.

Manage projects as they arise.

Make delivery appointments as needed.

Assist as necessary to resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot problems that arise.

Maintain delivery and shipment statuses in our software.

Requirements:

-Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

-Should be organized with excellent attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency

-Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

-Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Good attitude with the ability to work with various personality types

-Ability to be flexible and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment

-University degree or comparable education

-Proof of good job tenure.
