Job Description

Position Summary:
Is primarily responsible for the daily check-in and check-out of hotel guests, handles payment, forwards guests requests to appropriate departments. Provides customer service and coordinates room availability with reservations and housekeeping. Must comply with all Company and Brand Standards

Essential Job Functions:
1. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and departure
2. Register guests into the computer, verifying registration, address and credit information
3. Accept payment for guests accounts both at time of registration and check out
4. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily
5. Cash checks and exchange currency for guests (if applicable)
6. Places walk-in or last minute reservations using Opera System
7. Post miscellaneous charges as requested
8. Direct incoming phone calls using a PBX system
9. Respond to guests requests, questions and complaints
10. Assigns rooms as necessary
11. Cashier / Customer Service
12. Must comply with Brand Standards

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED); Six (6) months previous Front Office/Hotel experience desired; Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; Ability to follow directions; Must have great phone etiquette; Intermediate level computer knowledge required; excellent customer service skills; Work schedule may vary based on hotel operations. Must maintain a Flexible On Call Availability Schedule
