In your role as the Payroll/HR Manager, you will serve as a key member of the ‘ike HR Foundational Services team and be responsible for the payroll function for our family of companies. You would be a great fit for this job if you enjoy working on a variety of activities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You are extroverted, warm, and enthusiastic with a strong commitment to results and a sense of urgency for goal achievement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Payroll and/or HR certification preferred.
  • 6+ years experience in HR, specifically within managing payroll function.
  • Proven experience and success in leading, restructuring and implementing payroll and benefit processes and systems.
  • Ceridian payroll experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills Solid knowledge of federal and state payroll and HR laws and practices. Practical experience in process management and effectively applying payroll/HR knowledge.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work independently in a hectic environment and loves a challenge. Maintain focus and keep a strong eye on the details in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Curiosity that enables quick learning.
  • Tenacious, urgent, and positive demeanor. “Make it happen” attitude.
  • Must have a strong customer-service orientation to deliver excellent services to our employees.
  • Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll for the ‘ike family of companies.
  • Lead HR projects by utilizing strong project management skills while influencing, obtaining buy-in, and driving execution in a fast-paced environment. Initial project will entail strategic evaluation of outsourcing payroll/benefits functions.
  • Processing payroll during evaluation period of outsourcing.
  • Develop comprehensive employee health and wellness program in tandem with current initiatives.
  • Manage benefits which includes but is not limited to analysis of current plans, recommending and implementing more robust programs.
  • May serve as primary HR contact for one of the ‘ike company entities which includes performance management, employee relations, organizational development, compensation and benefits administration, and rewards and recognition.
