Westbound Tourism Sales & Marketing Manager

The Westbound Tourism Sales & Marketing Manager will drive sales revenue and market share by managing westbound market segment in order to achieve defined quotas. They will serve ongoing accounts with travel industry partners and prospect for new clients through new and existing lead generation.

Responsible for a high level of activity which will include, but not limited to:

  • Establish, develop and maintain a high level of business relationship with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned market segment to generate new business.
  • Forge new sales channels reflective of changing market landscapes traditional & non-traditional
  • Develop clear and effective written event proposals for current and prospective customers quickly, effectively and accurately.
  • Engaging at all levels of customer development to include calling, in-person visits, presentations, and with closing of sales to existing and prospective customers.
  • Visit all major travel desks and orientation briefings throughout Waikiki and Ko Olina
  • Plan, organizes personal sales strategy for the segment and event coordination
  • Supplies Director of Sales & Marketing with written reports on sales activities, revenue, customer needs, problems, interests, and potential promotional sales programs.
  • Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints in a timely fashion.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions
  • Account reconciliation and collection of balances owed from voucher redemption
  • Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirement, ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects to meet required deadlines.

Qualifications include:

  • Must be mobile-able to walk from one location to another (extended periods of walking/standing)
  • Must be self-driven, motivated, results oriented and possess excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency including MS Office
