Custodians are responsible for maintaining the overall neat and professional appearance, satisfactory cleanliness and sanitary condition of all floors, restrooms areas, facilities at the Hickam Medical Clinic (Building 554, 559, 1113, 2060, 2070 & 3365) in accordance with National Executive Housekeepers Association’s and NEi’s contract standards and requirements.
Must be comfortable with operating common custodial equipment and various powered custodial equipment such as floor buffers, auto scrubbers, wet vac, leaf blowers, polisher, etc.
Must be able to work independently and as team player.
Comfortable working in a Medical Clinic environment setting.
Performs emergency cleaning in contracted areas within fifteen (15) minutes of notification during normal work hours.
Performs special events cleaning in contracted areas with no less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notices prior to the event.
Performs cleaning if an infectious outbreak or other conditions warrants ICF control.
Able to maintain confidentiality of patients’ information and care.
Collect and replace soiled lined with clean lined in examination rooms as directed by Clinic Staff no more than twice (2) daily.
Collection and dispose of all regulated waste, including sharp containers, red bags, etc. in accordance with 15th Medical Group Operating Instruction, Guidelines for Management of Medical Waste.
Picks up all pathological and contaminated/isolation waste generated by the clinic. Dispose of waste in accordance with 15th Medical Group Operating Instruction, Guidelines for Management of Medical Waste.
Cleans/pick up and disposes of infectious/bio-hazardous waste spills in accordance with 15th Medical Group Operating Instruction, Guidelines for Management of Medical Waste.
Scrubs isolation room floor with disinfectant detergent solution. Rags or mops used to clean room must be properly discarded (either as infectious items to be laundered or as infectious waste to be destroyed).
Must be able to interact with co-workers, supervisors, managers, Hickam Clinic leadership team, Hickam Clinic workers and Hickam Clinic patients.
Custodial experience helpful but not required. We are willing to train.
Must be able to pass a post-offer background check, physical, and drug screening. Required proof of Immunizations Record (TB Skin Test completed within the past 12 months [if positive, proof of negative chest X-Ray within the past 12 months], Hepatitis B, Seasonal Influenza, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tdap Immunization [including Tetanus Booster] and COVID-19 Vaccination either two doses or one dose is REQUIRED [booster if needed])

Time: 6:30 am – 6:00 pm (Hours are flexible between 4 to 8 hours per shift)
$16.20 per hour
