As the Medical Billing Account Manager Assistant you will use your excellent organizational and analytical skills to provide support to the Operations department who is responsible for full service medical billing services to our Independent Physicians. You love working in a fast paced office environment and enjoy the flexibility of working in teams or independently.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties


  • Utilize your time management skills to perform weekly process reports, delinquent accounts, Bad address reports, pending review Action Requests, and working all actions request responses
  • Account for and balance bank deposits off of Confirmed Bank Deposit sheets. Manage all denials and credits at time of review.
  • Diligently follow up with Outstanding Accounts Receivable.
  • Apply your interpersonal communication skills to respond to calls from patients’ generated by Patient Accounts Representative Department (PAR).
  • Efficiently process claims, retrieve and attach support documentation and send claims out to insurance payers. Maximize appropriate reimbursement for our clients including effective time management for claims processing turnaround.
  • Identify and review credits on patient accounts and notification to offices.
  • Prep charges for scanning, running verification totals, communicating with office to resolve any missing or incomplete data.
  • Assist with Month End processing
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

Desired Qualifications


  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months direct healthcare experience or equivalent
  • Familiarity with medical billing terminology.
  • Understanding of basic debits and credits.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge and experience with general office machines (ie: 10-key, computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Time management
