Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our company. The successful applicant must be flexible to work any shift, Sunday to Saturday. The position is a Casual (less than 20 hours per week) Part Time vacancy.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Providing security for residents, employees and visitors, and protects the facility building, grounds and assets as assigned
• Assists residents and visitors in and out of vehicles and offers assistance with transferring belongings from vehicles to the Reception Desk
• Greets all visitors and directs them to register at the Reception Desk
• Appropriately issues trespass warnings
• Observes and reports fire hazards and unsafe conditions
• Monitors the parking areas to ensure compliance with parking rules and safety
• Assists Parking Valets as needed
The Successful Applicant must have:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Successfully completed 8 hours of classroom training provided by a Board of Private Detectives and Guards approved instructor using Board approved curricula; passed the required test; completed 4 hours of on the job training; and possess a current DCCA Registered Guard Employee status
• One year of related security experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current Driver’s License
