Job Description

Guru Restoration has been working in Toronto and the GTA for over 10 years. We do home restoration after a flood, waterproofing and mold, mildew and asbestos removal. We are currently looking for someone to work remotely and would be happy to hire someone who is not very expensive. We need a PHP developer, and we hope HonoluluJobBoard will help us a lot.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work and develop a project with high involvement, set tasks independently, refactoring, constantly improving and nurturing it.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of PHP 5/7 from 3 years (programming skills are important, not just knowledge of frameworks)
  • Good knowledge of MySQL / SQL
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS (you won’t have to deal with the front-end, but you should understand it)
  • Practical experience with heavily loaded databases (sharding, replication, etc.)
  • Experience with heavy-loaded services (highload)
  • Focus on easily maintainable, simple architecture
  • REST API principles
  • Willingness to work under fuzzy and changing requirements
  • Ability to work on the command line
  • Common sense

Will be a plus:

  • Golang
  • RabbitMQ / AMQP
  • Memcache / Redis
  • Knowledge and experience with Go programming (we’re looking for a dedicated Go developer to support high-load services, but if you know Go, that would be an advantage)
  • Experience with ClickHouse (we want to move product analytics to it)

What to do:

  • Get involved in the project and eventually take over the whole PHP part
  • Handle integration with billing and payment systems
  • Implement internal services
  • Solve current product tasks and develop the architecture
